Eid Feast · Riyadh

What a private chef does for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

Both Eids are days of open doors: family arrives after the Eid prayer, relatives and neighbours drop in through the day, and the host is expected to keep the table full. A private chef takes the cooking off the family. They agree the menu with you in the app chat, cook in your kitchen, serve and clean up, so you can greet your guests in Riyadh instead of watching the pots.

An Eid table in Saudi Arabia depends on which Eid it is. Eid al-Fitr starts with an Eid breakfast after prayer, with dates, Saudi coffee, ma’amoul and kleija and, in some regions, jareesh and marqooq, followed by a family lunch. On Eid al-Adha the meat is the centrepiece: a whole lamb on rice (mufattah), lamb kabsa or mandi, with salads and broth, and sweets such as kunafa and luqaimat. Agree the dishes and quantities with the chef in chat for your guest count.

Eid dates follow the Hijri calendar and are confirmed by the moon sighting, so the exact day is known late, and every family wants a chef on the same few days. Message chefs as soon as the expected date is announced, agree the first and second day in chat if you host twice, and say whether the meal is an Eid breakfast after prayer, a lunch or an evening feast. For Eid al-Adha, if you have meat from your own sacrifice (udhiyah) that you want cooked, ask the chef in chat before you book.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything about booking a private chef for Eid in Riyadh.

What dishes are served at an Eid gathering in Saudi Arabia?+

For Eid al-Fitr, an Eid breakfast of dates, coffee, ma’amoul and kleija, then a family lunch. For Eid al-Adha, a whole lamb on rice (mufattah), kabsa or mandi with salads, then kunafa and luqaimat. Tell the chef your family’s dishes in chat.

How far ahead should I book a chef for Eid in Riyadh?+

As soon as the expected Eid date is announced, and earlier for a large gathering. The day is only confirmed by the moon sighting, so before you book, ask the chef in chat whether they are free on both possible days.

Can the chef cook a whole lamb?+

Many Eid gatherings centre on a whole lamb or large trays of rice and meat. Ask the chef in chat whether they can cook a whole or half lamb in your kitchen or need an outdoor setup, and give them the guest count so the quantities are right.

Can I cancel an Eid booking?+

Yes. Cancel 7 or more days before the event and you get a 100% refund, including the service fee. Inside 7 days the booking is non-refundable. If you cancel within 10 minutes of paying, you are refunded in full whatever the date, and if the chef cancels, you are refunded in full automatically and we help you find another chef.

Can the chef cook for a large family gathering?+

Yes. An Eid table is usually shared dishes on large trays, which suits a big group. Tell the chef the number of guests, whether you host in separate majlis rooms, and how many waves of visitors you expect through the day, and they will plan the quantities and timing.
