What a private chef does for Christmas.
Christmas is the one meal of the year everyone has an opinion about, and usually one person spends it at the stove. A private chef takes that role: they plan the menu with you in the app chat, buy the ingredients, cook in your kitchen, serve each course and leave the kitchen clean. In Spain the big meal is Nochebuena, the evening of 24 December: seafood starters (prawns, langoustines, sometimes goose barnacles or spider crab), Iberian ham, a fish soup, then roast lamb or suckling pig, or baked sea bream. Dessert is turrón, polvorones and marzipan. The chef can order the seafood and the roast in advance, which is the hard part at that time of year.

How far ahead should I book a Christmas chef in Ibiza?+
As early as you can: several weeks ahead for December, and earlier still for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Each chef has only a few free evenings around Christmas, and the most requested dates are taken first. Book once the date, start time and guest count are settled.
Does the chef do the shopping and the washing up?+
Yes. The chef plans the menu with you, does the shopping, cooks in your kitchen, serves and clears the kitchen before leaving. Tell them in chat about your oven, hob and serving dishes, especially for a whole bird or a large joint, so the timing works.
Can I cancel a Christmas booking?+
Yes. Cancel 7 or more days before the event and you get a 100% refund, including the service fee, on 25 and 31 December too. Inside 7 days the booking is non-refundable, on those dates as on any other. If you cancel within 10 minutes of paying, you are refunded in full whatever the date, and if the chef cancels, you are refunded in full automatically and we help you find another chef.
Can the chef cook for a Christmas Eve dinner or a December party instead?+
Yes. A Christmas Eve dinner, a lunch on the days after Christmas or a December party with friends or colleagues is booked the same way: pick the date, agree the menu in chat and confirm. The chef’s own menus show what they already cook; anything else you can ask for in chat.
